Young people are trained to be future leaders
EC Ma Ndryshe has organized the two-day training "Young Leaders". Participants from the Kosovo youth community have gained knowledge about leadership. In this way, they have been able to mobilize their community in the future to bring about positive changes through collective and inclusive actions.
The right to access to public documents, the forms and procedures of compiling and sending a request for access to these documents, was the first topic that was discussed with the young people, continuing further with the discussion and workshop on the skills of leaders and the importance of the involvement of young people in local governance.
The current situation in the municipalities and the future of the environment are issues that concern the community, therefore the new leaders have learned new facts and options on how to be part of the change. The flow of discussions continued with the presentation of concrete examples regarding the state of cities, poor urban planning and other problems that have an impact on public life.
During this training, the topic of activism for inclusiveness, human rights and gender equality was not neglected. In this part, young people had the opportunity to gain knowledge, sharing different experiences through group discussions.
This training was carried out within the project "Alliance for Active Citizenship and Responsible Municipalities", financed by the Olof Palme International Center supported by the Government of Sweden and the project "Implementation of EC strategy programs" supported by the program of the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) 'EJA Kosovo', co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (Sida).
At the end of this activity, all participants were provided with certificates of participation.
