University students as well as high school students in Prizren discuss the effects of deforestation after screening of an inspirational documentary


EC Ma Ndryshe organized the screening of the documentary film "Finite: The Climate of Change" for students of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Prizren, as well as high school students. The screening was followed by discussions on deforestation, its ecological and social impacts, and the measures that can be taken to protect forests.
The inspiring documentary "Finite: The Climate of Change" was screened at DokuKino, depicting the battle between communities, activists, and fossil fuel corporations regarding deforestation and the efforts to protect forests.
Following the film screening, participants had the opportunity to engage in a discussion on the ecological and social impacts of deforestation.
The panel discussion was led by professors Liridon Buqaj and Reshat Reshiti, who shared their perspectives on the importance of forest conservation and the concrete steps that can be taken to address this challenge.
During the discussions, the significance of education, civic engagement, and sustainable policies for forest protection was emphasized, as they play a crucial role in preserving ecosystems and tackling climate change.
This activity served as a platform for raising awareness and inspiring concrete actions that can contribute to environmental conservation.
The activity was conducted as part of the "Empowering Environmental Civil Society Organizations in Kosovo" (EECSOK) project, supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina and implemented by the Community Development Fund - CDF.
