The destruction by fire of the Music Museum in Gjakovë, also known as "Tabhane", is a serious event that undermines efforts to protect and preserve the cultural heritage of Kosovo. The lack of proper treatment on the part of the institutions has caused this object to be vandalized and damaged long ago to the point of total destruction by fire.

EC Ma Ndryshe reminds that the cases of fires in protected monuments are first practices even before in the cities of Kosovo and considers that an increased commitment of the institutions responsible for the prevention of cases of this nature is needed.

Expressing indignation at the destruction of the Music Museum in Gjakovë, EC calls on the law-enforcement institutions to investigate the case until it is fully clarified, and to act with the force of the law. It also calls on local and central authorities to take action for the reconstruction and full functionalization of the Music Museum in Gjakova, in order to convey the message that efforts to destroy cultural heritage monuments will not be successful.
