The projects in the historical center of Prizren should be carried out according to the legislation
EC Ma Ndryshe through the post of the Association of Architects of Kosovo (link: https://www.facebook.com/aakorg/posts/pfbid02mcxrc9Z2GJsBWdyfNuYourGcHPPsRGN1eppGME8b6pDeYcARiXrJ62muSXpzQoQDl) it was announced that in their address gratitude was expressed regarding the process for "Designing the Urban Regeneration project of the banks of the Lumëbardhi River" in Prizren.
EC Ma Ndryshe would like to inform the public that he was not part of the team involved in the drafting process of this project.
Even in the month of May, he addressed some concerns regarding this issue (full response in the link: https://www.facebook.com/ecmandryshe/posts/4086356651478572/) emphasizing that the process is non-transparent, without public competition and without citizen participation. For the issues addressed in this response, EC has not yet received adequate answers from the bearers of this project.
In addition, EC has recently learned that the cultural heritage authorities in Prizren, two months ago, submitted a complaint to the central level institutions regarding a decision of the DUPH of the Municipality of Prizren for the Urban Regeneration project on the banks of the Lumëbardhi River . For more in this complaint, there are claims that the municipal body, surpassing the institution responsible for cultural heritage, in this case the QRTK in Prizren, has issued a decision on the matter in question, separately DUPH has issued a decision without the approval of the QRTK. In the following days, EC will investigate this case even further, requesting information and public documents from local and central institutions.
But taking the lead from the announcement of the Association of Architects of Kosovo, EC Ma Ndryshe uses the opportunity to once again express concerns regarding the process of drafting this project, which in any case requires greater transparency, public competition, participation of citizens, but also consent from the cultural heritage authorities. Therefore, they once again called for projects related to the historical center of the city and cultural heritage to respect the legislation in force as well as the principles of inclusiveness of the community.
