In a framework of the activity “Youth-Led Local Actions – Community Activism for Environmental Protection” students of the “Hajdar Dushi” Gymnasium in Gjakova carried out an intervention aimed at promoting environmental awareness by establishing a green corner within the school premises, designed as an educational space for students.

This corner includes wooden structures on which various decorative plants are placed, creating a natural and aesthetically pleasing environment inside the school. The intervention aims to introduce more green elements into students’ daily lives, positively influencing their well-being and overall experience in learning spaces.

The area is also equipped with a seating bench, making it a suitable place for rest, reflection, and interaction among students. A distinctive feature of this corner is its informative visual component, which presents the contrast between environmental degradation and greening, accompanied by awareness raising environmental messages.

Through this initiative, the goal is not only to improve the aesthetic quality of the school’s indoor spaces but also to increase students’ awareness of the importance of environmental protection and the impact of everyday choices on nature.
