The Directorate of Public Services has clarified through a response that it has done a test for lighting the banks of Lumbardhi. This directorate has emphasized that it is based on paragraph 1.4 of article 6 from the Law on the Historic Center of Prizren, that defines limited activities, in which it states that "The placement of permanent advertisements, private signs, decorations, or obstructing elements with a larger surface than one square meter without the consent of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Prizren". According to the DSHP, "the element placed by us is smaller than one square meter and the directorate, after this test phase, has applied for a permit from the Directorate of Urbanism and Spatial Planning".

For this reason, the EC calls on local authorities to respect the provisions on cultural heritage in a careful and responsible manner, where regular consultation with cultural heritage bodies would contribute towards increasing care for the preservation of this important historical area and cultural.
