For years, the lack of public lighting in the neighborhoods and streets of Prizren has been addressed as a concern by the citizens, especially by the women's community and the youth community. This is because public lighting has a very important role in creating safe spaces for everyone.

EC Ma Ndryshe on the website mahalla.info has received dozens of reports about the lack of public lighting, and in this regard, during 2021, it has sent a significant number of requests for the installation and adjustment of public lighting in various neighborhoods of the Municipality of Prizren.

After regular meetings with the residents of the "Bajram Curri" neighborhood and the expression of concern about the lack of public lighting in many streets of this neighborhood, with the aim of encouraging public debate and raising it as a problematic issue, EC together with the residents has decided to implement the performance "There could be a bulb here" where, for one hour, improvised electric bulbs are placed on several electric poles without lighting, symbolizing the essential need for public lighting.

Therefore, the competent institutions are recommended for the most serious treatment of this problem, which is quite worrying for a large part of the citizens. Increasing security in the neighborhoods and streets of our municipality should be treated seriously, therefore the installation of public lighting where it is missing, and the repair of existing lighting should be carried out as soon as possible.
