EC Ma Ndryshe has conducted the discussion "Green Talks" with the youth of the Municipality of Gjilan. The mayor of this municipality, Mr. Alban Hyseni as a panelist, students, management representatives and teachers from the primary schools "Abaz Ajeti", "Musa Zajmi", "Selami Hallaqi" and "Thimi Mitko", as well as young people of this municipality participated.

Initially, EC presented the project within which this discussion was carried out, other activities carried out within the project as well as the results so far.

Furthermore, the representatives of each school participating in the meeting had the opportunity to present to the mayor the activities they carry out, which are mainly focused on protecting the environment.

Organizing clean-up actions as a way of advocating for the protection of the environment, marking environmental days, realizing awareness campaigns, producing documentaries were some of the activities that the young people presented to the audience.

On the other hand, the Mayor Mr. Hyseni revealed to the young people the commitments of the Municipality, with a focus on environmental issues, thus emphasizing the plans and projects that will be realized in relation to the treatment of waste water, waste management, the creation of "Green Gardens” in the neighborhoods of the city of Gjilan, the addition and maintenance of green spaces, the organization of clean-up actions for the removal of illegal dumps and other similar projects.

During the discussion, some specific requests from the young people emerged, for the realization of which the mayor emphasized that the Municipality of Gjilan is ready and cooperative in realizing their demands and needs.

The "Green Talk" activity was carried out earlier in the Municipality of Prizren, Lipjan, Gjakova, Ferizaj, Mitrovica, Suhareka, Peja and after Gjilan, it will be organized in other municipalities as well.
