Residents of the “Tusuz” neighbourhood present infrastructure priorities at a meeting with municipal representatives

At the “Xhevat Berisha” School in Prizren, EC Ma Ndryshe held a meeting with the residents of the “Tusuz” neighbourhood, where the needs and infrastructure priorities of the community were discussed, with a focus on improving living conditions and addressing the long-standing requests of residents.

The meeting was attended by residents of the neighbourhood, the Chairman of the “Xhevat Berisha” and “UÇK” Local Community, Ali Berisha, and the official from the Directorate of Public Services of the Municipality of Prizren, Alban Krasniqi.

The supply of drinking water was highlighted as the main priority of the community, alongside investments in road infrastructure, sewage, and public lighting.

During the discussion, Ali Berisha presented the main requests of the community, emphasizing that some of them have been submitted to the municipal institutions since 2024 and are still awaiting implementation. He requested that these projects be included in municipal planning and investments for the upcoming period.

During the meeting, the greatest concern identified by the residents was the lack of drinking water supply in the “UÇK” neighbourhood, as well as issues related to improving the sewage network, expanding public lighting, and other matters.

The representative of the Directorate of Infrastructure, Alban Krasniqi, informed those present about the procedures for planning and implementing infrastructure projects, emphasizing that the community’s requests will be reviewed within the framework of municipal planning and in accordance with the priorities and budgetary possibilities.

The residents expressed their willingness to continue communication with the municipal institutions in order to address the needs of the neighbourhood.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the “Public Spaces 4 ALL” project, implemented by EC Ma Ndryshe, with the support of the German Government and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), through GIZ Kosovo.
