The project aims at encouraging and supporting the local government of Prizren to develop a structured approach to a sustainable urban development, which will be in line with the Urban Agenda for the EU. Through this project, EC aims to advocate to the public authorities to initiate a structured platform for urban planning and city development. Urban planning issues, in addition to legal obligations, also constitute an important part of the commitments of state institutions (with the focus on municipalities) for meeting European Union standards.

Objectives

• Initiating the construction of the urban platform that will structure all urban planning and development information of the city,
• Translation of identified issues (in the two respective sectors) into proposals and policy alternatives for local government,
• Mobilizing institutional, professional and civil society potentials for an urban governance platform in line with the EU Urban Agenda standards.
