EC has carried out the next intervention in one of the "neglected" public spaces, precisely on the "Alpet Shqiptare" street, which came as a result of the meetings held with the residents of this neighborhood.

Initially, a cleaning action was carried out in this place, and then, together with the children of this neighborhood, an action of planting some saplings of Linden and Catalpa species was carried out, as well as coloring the surrounding fences in order to create a more creative space.

Each child of the neighborhood has been given the opportunity to write their name on the planted sapling in order to encourage them for the personal commitment to the care and maintenance that must be shown to the planted saplings.

In a research that EC has carried out months ago, the opinion of the citizens was taken about the contribution given to the addition of green spaces in public spaces. However, based on their answers, it can be seen that they are not satisfied; 49.5% of the respondents answered that an average amount of seedlings are planted in Prizren, while 44% answered that not enough seedlings are being planted, and that only 6% answered that enough are planted.

Urban greening helps our physical and mental health, as well as offsetting some of the carbon emissions created that would otherwise contribute to climate change. Therefore, EC, based on these facts as well as the demands of the citizens, is continuing to contribute with interventions of this nature.
