Public Diaries and Sketchers” Activity Held with Community Groups of Women, Youth, and Local Businesses in Prizren

As part of the “Public Spaces 4 ALL” project, EC Ma Ndryshe organized the “Public Diaries and Sketchers” activity, engaging three distinct community groups in Prizren: women, youth, and representatives of local businesses.

The activity aimed to gather participants’ experiences, perceptions, and ideas regarding the use, quality, and functionality of public spaces in the city. Through a participatory methodology, participants documented their everyday experiences and shared their visions for more functional, high-quality public spaces.

During the sessions, participants completed individual diaries and created sketches illustrating how they use public spaces, the challenges they face, and the improvements they believe are needed. This methodology enabled the collection of valuable qualitative data while highlighting the specific needs and priorities of different community groups.

The contributions and findings gathered through this process will serve as the basis for developing concrete recommendations to improve public spaces in Prizren, with the aim of making them more functional, inclusive, safe, and accessible for all citizens.

This activity was implemented as part of the “Public Spaces 4 ALL” project, carried out by EC Ma Ndryshe with the support of the German Government and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), through GIZ Kosovo.
