EC Ma Ndryshe based on local media reports, posts on social networks of municipal officials and addressing concerns from citizens has been notified regarding the possible issuance of a decision by municipal bodies for the demolition of existing buildings on "Ardian Zurnaxhiu" street in Prizren, where previously the IMMK had rejected the request for granting permission for the construction of the building for collective housing. While DUPH, according to municipal officials, filed a complaint against this decision, and did not receive an answer, and continued the procedures for issuing the permit.

EC Ma Ndryshe requests the cultural heritage authorities in Kosovo, as well as other institutions relevant to this case, to inform the public as soon as possible about the course of this matter, and to inform them whether consent has been given for the demolition of existing buildings in this location located within 50 meters of the monuments with temporary protection status, as well as the consent for the construction of the collective housing building.

For the matter in question, EC will in the meantime request access to public documents from the relevant institutions.
