REALIZATION OF THE EXHIBITION "ARTIFACTS OF KOSOVO TAKEN FROM SERBIA"
EC Ma Ndryshe has realized the one-day exhibition "Artifacts of Kosovo taken from Serbia".
In this activity, held in the “Lidhja e Prizrenit” square in Prizren, 64 Kosovo artifacts taken from Serbia were revealed to the public through photographs, as an effort to draw attention to this sensitive issue.
This exhibition is the next call to express the importance of returning these artifacts to their place of origin. At the same time, it enables the public to see up close a part of the precious cultural wealth of Kosovo, which continues to be held hostage in Serbia.
For more than two decades, Serbia has received and controlled a wide range of Kosovo artifacts. In this period, it is documented that more than 1247 artifacts were transported to Belgrade for an exhibition and never returned to the place from which they were taken.
EC considers that Kosovo's state institutions should continue efforts to negotiate their return, a sensitive process that should be actively supported by the international community to ensure that Kosovo's cultural wealth returns to its country of origin .
The call is clear: the return of the artifacts must happen, in order to correct the injustice to Kosovo's cultural heritage.
