"Functional cities", without public toilets
The lack of public toilets is an obvious problem in most cities of Kosovo. For this reason, EC Ma Ndryshe today in Prizren has realized the performance about their absence in public spaces.
During this performance, two public toilets were improvised in the form of cabins, which were placed in the space of the “Lidhja” Square. On the walls of the cabins are presented the data obtained from the research "Public Toilets in the City of Prizren", which was carried out with citizens of this municipality, as well as the data from the research carried out with the municipal officials of seven municipalities.
Public toilets are part of urban life and occupy an important place in the infrastructure of a public space, as much as parks, seats, waste baskets, public lighting, etc.
Public toilets are important components for creating sustainable and inclusive cities, therefore they must be suitable for marginalized groups such as: the elderly, PWDs, pregnant women, small children, etc.
