The Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sports (DKRS) has published the final list of beneficiaries (notification link: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1114372694055717&set=a.288714333288228), while the Directorate for Tourism and Economic Development (DTZHE) has so far published only the preliminary list (notification link: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1123009033192083&set=a.288714333288228). Both of these lists include only the names of the beneficiaries and the project titles, lacking additional information that would ensure full transparency.

As in previous years, EC Ma Ndryshe repeats its request that the publication of these lists be accompanied by the following information: the evaluation criteria, the names of the evaluation committee members, the amounts each organization applied for, the amounts awarded by the respective directorates, as well as short descriptions of the projects and their expected outcomes.

Publishing this information would serve as a good example of transparent and accountable governance. Transparency in the allocation of subsidies is one of the fundamental principles of the applicable legislation and a publicly declared commitment by the municipal management.

The current practice of publishing only partial information contradicts these principles and risks undermining citizens' trust in public institutions. EC Ma Ndryshe calls on the municipal directorates to change the current practice of partial information disclosure and to take concrete steps to ensure full transparency at all stages of the subsidy allocation process.
