EC Ma Ndryshe in cooperation with the Regional Center of Cultural Heritage have launched the Digital Platform of the Historical Center of Prizren during the ceremony held in the MKRS building in Prizren.

The Digital Platform of the Historical Center of Prizren is an online database, in which all structures are presented, including houses, monuments, religious buildings, bridges, etc. This platform was created by EC Ma Ndryshe in cooperation with the Regional Center of Cultural Heritage in Prizren, an institution under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and aims to promote the Historical Center of Prizren. It contains various information about the existing structures in the Historical Center, starting from the legal status, the time of construction, the floor space, the physical condition, then the use, the values that the buildings possess and the harmony with their historical context.

The database originated from the research carried out for the needs of the Historic Center Management Plan, which was drawn up during 2017 and the field research continued during 2021 to 2022.

The purpose of this platform is to document and create a database on the existing condition of the Historical Center and at the same time provide a practical tool for transparency and accountability to the public. In addition to data from the field, the platform also has a category of publications with relevant documents, plans, strategies and laws related to this historical center.

The platform is of particular importance because it reveals the state of the Historical Center, which will be updated from time to time and can be used by relevant cultural heritage institutions, local government bodies, researchers, and others.

The platform was created voluntarily by EC Ma Ndryshe, which has done accurate and long research in the field, together with the review of relevant documents as well as the legislation in force. The Platform will continue to be maintained by EC and will be part of other projects that will further enrich the Platform.

According to the legislation in force, the Historical Center of Prizren is treated as a property of cultural and historical heritage under permanent protection and classified as a special protected area with values of local, state and international interest.
