EC Ma Ndryshe and Municipal Officials in Suhareka Discuss Environmental Challenges

EC Ma Ndryshe held a meeting with the Director of Public Services, Environment and Emergencies, the Director of the Inspectorate, as well as environmental and urban inspectors from the Municipality of Suharekë, where environmental challenges and issues related to the management of natural resources in the municipality were discussed.


During the meeting, EC Ma Ndryshe presented its work and engagement in the field of environmental protection, with a particular focus on river protection, addressing pollution, and tackling the degradation of natural areas.


As part of the discussions with municipal officials, several issues affecting the territory of Suhareka were discussed, including water pollution, state of riverbeds, degradation of agricultural land, management of waste, and the rehabilitation of areas damaged by economic activities.


In addition, municipal officials raised concerns regarding the lack of institutional coordination and the limited competencies of the local level in addressing environmental issues, particularly in relation to river management and the oversight of investments near river areas.


The meeting served as a platform for exchanging information and discussing the challenges faced by local institutions in environmental protection and management.
