EC and MODERNe - Initiative for the Assessment, Protection and Promotion of Modern Heritage in Kosovo within the project "MODERNISM IN PRISHTINA - Marking and promotion of Modern Architecture in Prishtina" have realized the interactive map "Walking in the modern heritage of Prishtina".

The modern heritage in Prishtina (1960 – 1990) counts a considerable number of good examples of modern architecture, accompanied by cultural, social and economic values that stimulated and accompanied their construction. However, this part of our heritage often enjoys a negative reputation, categorized as 'foreign' and imposed. As a result of this negative reputation, as well as other related factors - such as the political and social changes after the 1999s in Kosovo, mainly influenced by the privatization process, a significant number of modern heritage objects were degraded and the part the rest continues to be at risk of ambitions for destruction or adaptation to the alienation of the source state.

"Walking in the modern heritage of Prishtina" aims to stimulate a "virtual walk" in a certain number of modern architecture objects in Prishtina, through the brief disclosure of their aesthetic, functional, content, social and cultural qualities. This journey on a 'circle' of modern heritage sites calls for more attention and appreciation of this period of our heritage.
